About CATSS

What is CATSS?

What does CATSS do?

  • CATSS has the primary objective of keeping the local populations of feral cats under control through a system of trapping, neutering, and returning feral cats to their original locations (TNR).
  • CATSS, in order to accomplish our objective, must identify feral cat colonies that need attention, cooperate with property owners on whose land feral cats live, work with volunteers who care for feral cat colonies, work with local veterinarians to arrange quality care and treatment, house trapped cats before and after surgery, test adoptable cats for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV), socialize kittens to ensure successful future adoptions, and find good homes for adoptable cats, all while raising funds to implement TNR and educational programs.
  • CATSS offers tame cats and kittens for adoption. An adoption fee includes spaying or neutering, vaccination, and deworming of the animal.
  • CATSS also assists local residents with low-cost spaying and neutering services.
  • CATSS works to increase awareness in the community about the benefits of TNR, while providing helpful information and educational opportunities to individuals regarding everything from caring for feral colonies to dealing with cat allergies.
