About the Organization

Community Action to Save Strays (CATSS) is a non-profit organization with full 501(c)(3) status as recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service.

History

CATSS incorporated as a non-profit organization in January 2002. Initial membership of the organization was approximately thirty volunteers, with a five-member Board of Directors. The organization established a standard Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, as well as a very successful fostering/adoption program, to help the community with stray cats and unwanted kittens.

Board of Directors

The initial meeting of the new board of directors is planned to take place in mid-November.

Mission Statement

Our mission, as stated in our Articles of Incorporation, is "to neuter and care for feral cats in Lorain County, to help control the population of feral cats, and to find homes for stray cats that are adoptable."
