Community Action to Save Strays (CATSS) is sponsoring a free feral cat trapping class at the Oberlin Public Library craft room on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:00 PM. We will go over the basic steps of how to successfully trap a cat that you have determined is homeless, how to sign up to borrow a humane trap from CATSS, what to do when you have trapped an animal, and answer any questions you may have. We will show you how to set up and bait a trap, and how to safely release an unintended capture (raccoon, opossum, woodchuck, neighbor cat). It happens.
CATSS is a trap-neuter-return organization whose purpose is to reduce the population of stray, feral cats in the Oberlin area by preventing breeding (and fighting, and howling, and illness). We DO NOT OPERATE A SHELTER.
Please join our experienced trappers and help make Oberlin a more peaceable kingdom.
